Conisbrough and Denaby Drug Awareness Group
Windmill Community Centre Windmill Avenue Conisbrough Doncaster DN12 2DH Tel: Tony Sellars 01709 867575 Services Provided • The group aims to raise awareness about the drug problem in the area and to tailor pro-active initiatives in order to engage particularly young disaffected people into more mainstream activities. • We, along with Community Volunteers, help to operate ‘Drop-Ins’ for substance and alcohol misusers and their families. • We provide a hot meal and shower facilities. Trained councillors are available, along with help in finding accommodation • We are supported by workers from the Depot and the Garage • Times/Date Each Thursday at Tom hill Youth Centre 12-2pm Each Friday at Edlington Youth Centre 12-2pm We are also hoping to open a further session in Conisbrough when premises and support become available. Eligibility • This is a partnership of local people, local agencies and statutory organisations that are interested in tackling the problem of drug misuse in the area.
