Eligibility
16 or over and resident in the UK.
Exclusions: -
• People subject to immigration control as defined in the immigration and asylum act 1999
• People defined by the Secretary of State as “non-qualifying persons” or notified that they have no right to live in the UK
• People who are not a habitual resident in the common travel area
The council has the right to exclude or remove applicants or members of their household who have been guilty of unacceptable behaviour serious enough to make them unsuitable.

• Drop in service – 1:30 – 3:00 at St Peter In Chains Church, Chequer Road
• Advice/information
• Help with accommodation search and access to phones to contact landlords
• free meal
• Attended by other agency staff to provide access to information
• Floating support for clients with tenancy
• Outreach support service, including weekly support meetings, help to resolve problems prior to finding accommodation
• 15 bed supported lodging scheme – must be drug free for 6 months to access
• Young Women’s Housing Project – 4 bed hostel staffed 7 days per week, must be drug free for 6 months to access

Services Provided
• 24-Hour Supported Housing Scheme
• Individual rooms with shared kitchens/bathrooms/laundry
• Let on a Licence Agreement for 3 months (can be shortened/lengthened dependent on clients needs)
• Each individual allocated a key worker who meets regularly and puts together Action Plans to give support and assistance necessary for developing skills towards living independently.
Eligibility
• Single homeless persons over 16 years of age.
• A full Risk and Needs Assessment is completed and a decision to offer accommodation or not is decided on the outcome of this.

All referrals are made by DMBC Homeless Section based at Kings Mews and can be contacted on 01302 862014/5/6 and are then placed on a waiting list.
