Better Deal Young Peoples Substance Misuse Service

Better Deal is the free service for young people up to the age of 18years in Doncaster who need help due to drug and alcohol use or who need advice or information on drugs, alcohol, solvents or legal highs.
Better Deal offer young people:

• General advice
• One to one support
• Counselling
• Prescribed interventions
• Recovery planning
• Signposting to other services
• Family mediation
• Support to professionals
• Support to parents

Call us on 01302 571260  Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm. We arrange appointments at times according to need which includes evenings. When the office is closed you can leave a message on our answer machine and somebody will get back to you.

The Department of Contraception and Sexual Health provides an open-access, free service to all.

• Cervical Screening (Smear tests)

GUM

 Genito Urinary Medicine (GUM) Sexual Health Services, Doncaster Royal Infirmary - Open Monday - Friday.  A comprehensive STI & HIV screen in confidence.

 Walk-in clinics available as follows:

 Monday & Wednesday 9am-5.20pm

Tuesday & Thursday 9am-3.20pm

Friday 9am-4.20pm

Doncaster College

 Doncaster College offers a substance misuse support service in partnership with Better Deal and the Garage.  Bespoke workshops are offered to students on a monthly basis to look at the effects and causes of substance misuse.  The College Welfare team can offer direct supported referrals to Better Deal or the Garage as well as counselling with our College Counselling team.’
